On 24 April 2025, ceremonies marking the 105th anniversary of the Polish Army Museum were held at the Warsaw Citadel. The event brought together representatives of state and local authorities, the Polish Armed Forces, cultural institutions, and veterans’ organisations.
During the celebrations, honours and distinctions were awarded to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Museum’s work and to the preservation of Poland’s historical memory. Among those recognised were representatives of the Katyn Museum: Sebastian Karwat, Director of the Museum; his deputy, Kacper Ciesielski; and members of the Research Section, Dr Bartłomiej Bydoń and Dr Tomasz Szczepański.
The 105th anniversary of the Polish Army Museum is not only a celebration of an institution, but also a reminder of the responsibility to preserve historical memory and national heritage. It is a story of generations of people dedicated to documenting the fate of Polish soldiers and safeguarding the memory of those who gave their lives for their country.
