25th Anniversary International Katyn Motorcycle Rally

Participants in the International Katyn Motorcycle Rally depart from Warsaw Citadel through the New Town Gate

On 9 August, the 25th Anniversary International Katyn Motorcycle Rally set off from the Katyn Museum in Warsaw. The event was preceded by a Holy Mass at the Temple of Divine Providence, bringing together participants in a moment of reflection before the journey began.
Dozens of motorcyclists representing the Katyn Rally Association paid tribute to the victims of the Katyn massacre at the Katyn Epitaph memorial. They then travelled to Ossów, the site of the Battle of Warsaw (1920), and to Sokółka, where they honoured the memory of those deported to Siberia.
This year’s rally covers more than 8,000 kilometres, taking participants through Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, and Hungary.
At every stage of the journey, riders will stop at places of remembrance to pay tribute to heroes of the past and to preserve the memory of the events that shaped Poland’s history.
