The place where we are celebrating this year’s Police Day is a symbol of heroism and sacrifice for the homeland. Like them, you have sworn to protect our country, even at the risk of your own lives. Some of us are not here today because they gave what is most precious in defence of the homeland – their lives – said Inspector General Dariusz Zięba. I thank you for yet another year of standing with me in both difficult and good times. As a team, we are strong and capable of meeting every challenge. Our actions, not only in Poland but also abroad, are regarded as demanding, yet carried out with professionalism.
The ceremonial awarding of decorations and promotions to higher police ranks was conducted by Inspector General Roman Kuster together with Inspector General Dariusz Zięba.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Police, the Commander of CPKP “BOA”, and the Head of the Political Cabinet of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, together with the Director of the Katyn Museum, Sławomir Z. Frątczak, laid flowers at the Katyn Epitaph in tribute to the victims of the Katyn Massacre.
The celebrations of Police Day of the Central Counterterrorism Police Unit “BOA” at the Katyn Museum were complemented by a performance of the Representative Police Orchestra.
