Ceremonial Parade of the Central Police Counter-Terrorism Unit “BOA” Marking the 106th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Polish State Police

As part of the commemorations marking the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Polish State Police, a ceremonial parade of the Central Police Counter-Terrorism Unit “BOA” was held on 22 July 2025 at the parade ground of the Katyn Museum in Warsaw.
The ceremony began with a symbolic act of remembrance at the Katyn Epitaph, where a wreath was laid and memorial candles were lit by Inspector Łukasz Pikuła, Commander of the Central Police Counter-Terrorism Unit “BOA”; Junior Inspector Karol Wojtyła, Deputy Commander of the unit; and Sebastian Karwat, Director of the Katyn Museum. Among the distinguished guests in attendance was Deputy Inspector General Roman Kuster, First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Police.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to present state and ministerial decorations, as well as to confer promotions to higher police ranks. This significant occasion highlighted the dedication, professionalism and sacrifice of Poland’s police officers in the service of public safety.
