Distinguished Cadets of the Polish Naval Academy’s 2026 Officer Promotion Visit the Katyn Museum
On 18 May 2026, following the ceremony at the Royal Castle in Warsaw during which they were commissioned to their first officer rank, the distinguished graduates of the 2026 class of the Polish Naval Academy visited the Katyn Museum.
During their tour of the Museum’s permanent exhibition, the cadets paid tribute to the victims of the Katyn Massacre. The visit also provided an opportunity to reflect on the values that have shaped the ethos of military service for generations: honour, responsibility, loyalty to the homeland, and remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives in its service. It was also a symbolic affirmation of the continuity of military traditions, whose legacy is carried forward by newly commissioned officers. The tour of the Katyn Museum exhibition was led by Dr Joanna Kurczab.
