On 26 October, the Katyn Museum hosted the Final Gala of the nationwide historical competition “Katyn”, organised for the fourth time by the Parafiada Association.
The first part of the ceremony included the presentation of trophies, awards and diplomas to the competition winners and finalists. Teachers who supervised and supported the students’ projects from primary and secondary schools also received commemorative gifts and certificates of appreciation for their invaluable guidance and commitment.
The awards and gifts were funded by the Parafiada Association with support from the Mieroszewski Centre under the 2nd Open Competition programme, as well as by the Katyn Museum and the Institute of National Remembrance – Białystok Branch.
The winners and finalists also took part in the Young Historians’ Conference, where they presented projects that will remain in our memory for years to come. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants for contributing to this exceptional event.
It is particularly encouraging to see younger generations actively engaged in preserving the memory of the Katyn massacre and promoting knowledge of this important chapter in history.
