Museum Night 2024 at the Katyn Museum
We have once again concluded Museum Night at the Katyń Museum.
This year, in addition to guided tours of the permanent exhibition led by a curator, visitors had the opportunity to see the temporary exhibition “The Last Resident of the Lubomirski Palace. General Mieczysław Smorawiński.” A special highlight of the evening was a presentation of documents discovered on the remains of victims during exhumation works in Kharkiv and Miednoye. In 2024, these documents were inscribed on the National List of the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme (5th edition). Due to the fragility of the paper and ink, as well as their exceptional historical value, they are normally kept in storage.
