Museum Night 2025 at the Katyn Museum

Another successful edition of Museum Night at the Katyn Museum is now behind us.
This year, in addition to joining curator-led tours of both the permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibition “Evidence of crimes – documents excavated from mass graves in Mednoye, Kharkiv and Katyn”, visitors also had the opportunity to view the temporary display Documents of Unidentified and Unknown Victims of the Katyn Crime. The exhibition presented personal documents uncovered during exhumation works at sites where the remains of victims of the Katyn Crime had been concealed. Among the objects on display were a monthly tram pass for Warsaw tram line no. 25 from September 1939 (inv. no. MK 886 K), a cardboard-bound notebook containing handwritten notes (inv. no. MK 320 A), a fragment of a notebook preserving a handwritten diary of dreams (acc. no. MK A.5001), and a letter written on the reverse side of a map page torn from a book depicting the territory of the Second Polish Republic (inv. no. MK A.4514).
We would like to thank all our visitors for joining us on this special evening.
