President of the Republic of Moldova Visits the Katyn Museum

On Sunday, 25 January 2026, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, paid an official visit to the Katyn Museum. She was accompanied by the Minister of Defence of Moldova, Anatolie Nosatîi, the Minister of Culture, Cristian Jardan, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Poland, Violeta Agrici. The delegation was welcomed by Paweł Żurkowski, Deputy Director of the Polish Army Museum, and Sebastian Karwat, Director of the Katyn Museum.
During the visit, the guests toured the Museum’s permanent exhibition and attended a specially arranged presentation of Katyn-related artefacts connected with the regions of Moldova and Romania.
The delegation then paid tribute to the victims of the Soviet massacre by laying a wreath at the Katyn Epitaph.
