Study Visit by the Moldovan Memory Museum Team

On 23 April, the Katyń Museum once again had the pleasure of welcoming the team working on the establishment of the Memory Museum in Chișinău – an institution dedicated, among other things, to documenting and commemorating the experience of Soviet repression.
During meetings with the leadership and staff of the Katyń Museum, as well as a guided tour of the permanent exhibition and the outdoor area surrounding the museum’s caponier, members of the project team had the opportunity to explore key aspects of museum practice. Discussions focused on exhibition development, educational programming, collection building, and the management of complex museum projects.
We are pleased to share our experience with our partners from Moldova and to support them in the creation of this important new institution of remembrance. We are confident that the knowledge and expertise of the Katyń Museum team will contribute meaningfully to the development of the Memory Museum in Chișinău – a place that will serve as an important forum for reflection on history and its contemporary consequences.
