Study Visit of Konstantin Pakhaluk to the Katyn Museum

On 23 May, the Katyn Museum welcomed Russian researchers Dr Konstantin Pakhaluk and Konstantin Konoplanko of the Memorial Polska association, as well as an editor of “Novaya Gazeta Europe”.
The study visit provided an opportunity for Dr Pakhaluk to deliver a lecture on the Russian Federation’s politics of memory, with particular emphasis on the increasingly concerning practice of distorting the historical truth about the Katyn massacre.
During the visit, Dr Pakhaluk also donated copies of his monographs to the Museum’s collection. His publications focus on the historical policy of contemporary Russia and its impact on political relations in the region.
