Visit of Admiral Joachim Rühle, Chief of Staff at SHAPE, and his wife

Dr Bartłomiej Bydoń guiding Admiral Joachim Rühle and his wife through the Museum's exhibition

On 21 January 2023, the Katyn Museum welcomed Admiral Joachim Rühle, Chief of Staff at SHAPE, and his wife. During their visit, they had the opportunity to view the Museum’s unique collection of Katyn relics – artefacts that bear witness to the Katyn massacre and preserve the memory of its victims. They also learned about the history of the Katyn Museum and the Warsaw Citadel, the historic fortress that houses the Museum. The guests were guided through the exhibition by Dr Bartłomiej Bydoń, who presented one of the most tragic chapters in the history of Poland, explaining both the historical background of the Katyn massacre and the significance of the artefacts on display.
