Visit of the Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Katyn Museum
The Katyn Museum had the honour of welcoming the Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Edmondo Cirielli, accompanied by His Excellency Luca Franchetti Pardo, Ambassador of Italy to Poland, Giuseppe Fedele, Head of the Minister’s Secretariat and Minister Plenipotentiary, Colonel Stefano Cavaliere, Military Attaché of the Embassy, Minister Counsellor Adamo Guarino, Secretary Gianfranco Di Sarno, Luigi Ripamonti, Deputy Head of Mission, and Ms Miriam Peluffo, Second Secretary of the Embassy.
The delegation toured the Katyn Museum in the company of Mr Paweł Żurkowski, Deputy Director of the Polish Army Museum, and Mr Sebastian Karwat, Head of the Katyn Museum. Following the visit, Deputy Minister Edmondo Cirielli laid a wreath at the Katyn Epitaph and made a deeply moving entry in the Museum’s Book of Remembrance..
